What PSL Scale is

PSL Scale is a photo-based AI face-rating tool. It gives a free first PSL score from one submitted photo, then offers an optional detailed report that explains the visible signals used in that result.

The result is designed for appearance insight and entertainment. It is not a medical evaluation, a diagnosis, or a statement of a person's value.

How the product is framed

The score describes the photo that was submitted. Camera distance, pose, lighting, expression, crop, and filters can change what is visible. For that reason, PSL Scale pairs its score with a confidence signal and practical photo guidance rather than presenting the number as a universal fact.

Read How to Take a PSL Scale Test for the recommended image setup, or see the Privacy Policy for the photo-processing lifecycle.

Why photo setup matters

Keeping the camera at a consistent distance and using straightforward lighting makes it easier to compare one report with another. A 2024 study found that close selfie distances can change visible midface proportions; see the study summary.
